Mayan Train
The Yucatán Mayan Train is a major infrastructure project in Mexico aimed at boosting tourism, economic development, and connectivity in the Yucatán Peninsula. It is designed to link popular tourist destinations such as Cancún, Tulum, and Mérida with lesser-known Mayan cultural sites and rural communities. Spanning approximately 1,500 kilometers, the train will facilitate travel across five states: Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Campeche, Tabasco, and Chiapas. The project aims to preserve and promote Mayan heritage, support local economies, and provide a sustainable transportation alternative, featuring both passenger and freight services.
